Finray Chair
3rd Year Design Build (2014)
This design build project was part of a digital fabrication workshop to explore how tools which speak directly with design programs can change architecture and design. The chair explored how to create a dynamic piece of furniture that conformed to various sizes of the human body without any adjustment. This used a wide array of design programs and physics simulators to arrive at this shape, proportions, and build details. All elements were either cut on a laser cutter or a three axis CNC.
